"Unexpected place for Lincoln, a little out of town but that just means the parking is good. Staff welcoming and friendly but most importantly the sushi is fresh and delicious. Ingredients were flavourful and well assembled. The centrepiece eel as a dragon was a good, whimsical touch. Peanut butter pie earns any place an immediate minimum star, in my opinion Would definitely return, I hope they last."

"We had a lovely welcome and chose to sit outside as it was warm albeit wet. We had coffee and great cake. It was too early for lunch but I would have liked to try other things on the menu"

"Floor by the side of the table was covered in food waste, didn't look like it had been cleaned from breakfast service. My starter and steak was delicious but partners meal had elements that weren't right. We were given free desserts as a compensation however I couldn't tell if the base was supposed to be pastry or biscuit as it was mush and there was a problem with partners dessert. The hotel have given us compensation as it was part of our wedding anniversary meal."

"Had breakfast with my daughter at Stokes for her birthday in September, it was so good we visited again today as we were at the top of Lincoln. The Lawn has great parking and good disabled access. The full English was tasty and filling, served hot by lovely, friendly and helpful staff. The coffee was perfect. The cake choice looked amazing too. Highly recommend Stokes at the Lawn for a relaxed friendly atmospheric breakfast."
