"Believe it or not, our recommendation for this gorgeous century inn came from a table mat! My parents have a set of famous English pubs' placemats and this is one of them. As we happened to be in the area, visiting the superb Cotswolds...Distillery, we thought we'd better try it. The Black Horse serves Thai food. A lot of pubs that are converted into restaurants lose their pub character altogether and I was a bit concerned that the Black Horse might be one of them. However, I am delighted to say that the bar and lounge areas still represent a good, traditional English pub with a cosy atmosphere and, by all appearances, a thriving trade entirely separately from the restaurant. The restaurant is housed in a large room with the same old stone and wooden beams as the rest of the inn. The menu is extensive and varied. Prices are fair. Service was very friendly and efficient. All of us found our meals to be absolutely delicious. Oddly, neither desserts nor tea appeared on the menu. Not a big deal but worth bearing in mind. Overall, a really enjoyable lunch. The Black Horse Inn is not on a table mat for nothing!"

"A big thankyou to everyone at the lucky house i broke down in my lorry between shipston and morton on the marsh we called to see if they would deliver to us and they did at 8.oclock at night the food was great and pipping hot should be the go to takeaway for everyone in the area who loves chinese."
