"We went as a party of 14 and we all got our meals at the same time. The service was excellent with them saying our names for the meals instead of the name of the dish which I found more friendly. The staff were attentive with out being intrusive. "Ate at The Dunkirk last night as a group of 10 (six adults, four children). Most of us had the Xmas menu, which was great value at £18.95 for three courses and the turkey main course was one of the best I have had in a restaurant. Good service, great food and dog friendly. Can't fault it."

"This is a great local pub not posh, but very friendly with good beers and food. Very welcoming for groups, families, couples, dog walkers, etc. The fresh seafood is especially good and the lunch time fish and chips with peas at £5.95 is an absolute bargain."

"A group of 12 plus a baby for birthday celebrations, and we could not have chosen better. We met in the bar a couple of hours before the restaurant booking. The bar was warm and inviting, the staff friendly and helpful, with a good selection of drinks on offer. The table location in the restaurant was really good and as we had pre ordered, despite the restaurant and bars being incredibly busy, the food was delivered to us all at the same time. Again all the staff were very friendly and helpful and nothing was too much to ask. The food was excellent( including vegetarian and vegan options) and after a long leisurely lunch we headed back to the bar for a few more drinks. Would recommend what a great place for celebrating with friends"

"Lovely Christmas Lunch but we were disappointed with the selection of veg we got… no sprouts we saw that the table across from us had these but ours never arrived, when I asked if we could have some the young lad who was serving us went to ask and was told they had run out! No sprouts on Christmas Day really is unforgivable, we also asked for some more mash and that had ran out too! The meal was really delicious but they had obviously under estimated how much veg they would need so it took the shine off what would have been a perfect Christmas lunch When you pay £70 per head you expect it to be perfect Not having to shop , prep, cook and wash up was a bonus but we were all a little disappointed"
