"First off. The restaurant was busy. So we expected a little chaos. We were sat down and ordered drinks which arrived promptly. We ordered food and, two of us were a little unsure so we suggested our friends ordered first to which the waiter commented ‘I don’t care who orders first really’. We put our order in but I now had a bad taste. Our starter arrived, my friends prawn puree had 1 single prawn in it, my partners prawn purée had a couple of prawns. So we didn’t like the lack of consistency. Our mains arrived, and the food was tasty, good portion sizes. Oftentimes, Indian restaurants can put too much out that it gets wasted but we ate the majority of our food. I hadn’t finished eating but one of the waiters started clearing our table standard etiquette is to wait until all diners are finished eating. Maybe since they were so busy, they’d run out of crockery? The next observations though really have made this a place I’d rather not revisit; Is there a sink behind the bar counter? If not, I’m concerned about staff smoking and immediately on return, serving customers drinks with no obvious handwashing. The waitress unwrapping the seal of a bottle with her teeth!! And the worst thing, was the address book! This book was placed on our table twice, by two members of staff, and was a request for customers personal data, for the purpose of sending ‘Christmas cards and vouchers’. This information is openly held right beside the entrance of the restaurant. On the page that was open to us, were at least 4 other peoples personal information showing. This is a breach of GDPR Data Protection guidelines."

"Have visited a few times now for the great value English breakfasts that include tea or coffee and a plate of bread and butter. The breakfasts are always well cooked and hot. Unfortunately if you visit during winter it can be really cold sitting in the newer part of the building. They really need to have some more forms of heating in there to make it comfortable."
