"Coldish saturday afternoon in December. Every pub and bar in town was packed to overflowing, but this small pub, (micro pub really) sandwiched between two other pubs was quieter with spare seating. Started with a local brew, sat outside and conversed congenially with a local. Went inside for second drink. Fancied something different and asked if a wheat beer was available. The lady said no. A gent at the bar said they had Leffe if I wanted Belgian and pointed to a bottle on the shelf. Next to it I noticed a bottle of Blue Moon . I suggested this was in a wheat beer, but she was adamant it was not it was a white beer. I insisted and she inspected it and then agreed it was indeed wheat. She did apologise, but I was disappointed I had to tell her about her job. The beer was enjoyable. Did not eat, but looking at the blackboard I would say it was more light snacks than proper meals but prices looked ok."

"We tried this place for the first time on Saturday and to be honest I can't think why we have not been here before. The food was amazing, excellent quality and to watch it been cooked in front of you added to the whole experience. The staff that serve you are helpful, friendly and cant do enough for you. Already planning the next trip where would like to try a lot more of the dishes. A diamond where you would not expect."

"My friend and I have been coming for a meal at least once a month for a while and we always enjoy it the food is consistently good and the service is too a huge bonus in these days of unsmiling servers. Yesterday we had a lovely meal and were tempted by a pancake dessert, but didn't want the salted caramel sauce it specified on the menu. The server offered several alternative sauces, with a smile and very helpful, pleasant attitude, willing to be flexible very unusual to find nowadays. We really enjoyed our pancakes with maple syrup, and will be asking for it next time! Thanks very much, Courtney, and well done Scawsby Mill for encouraging such excellent service, with very reasonable prices."

"Been to quite a few fish restaurants over the last few years but this one is the best out of them all. I had a scampi and a salad and my partner had haddock chips mushy peas and a pot of curry sauce. WOW it was amazing. We had lemon and lime cheese cake for desert. It was beaut. Got to give this place 12 out of 10. Thanks for a lovely meal guys."

"I booked a Beauty and the Beast themed afternoon tea for my mums birthday and was not disappointed. The attention to detail not only on the food but also they table decor was amazing, they even played Be our guest as the food came out. The food was fantastic, we brought several pieces of it home as we were too full to eat it all there. Our hot drinks never ran out as it kept getting topped up and the staff were very welcoming. We stayed nearly 2hours and not once did we feel rushed. Can 't wait to come again and try out a different theme :"
