"We went today, great value £9.99 for a two course Carvery, home made tomato soup (really nice) and every meat you would have at home on a Sunday dinner Turkey, Pork, Lamb, Beef and even fish.....good selection of veg, Yorkshire pudding and a choice of gravy. Don't miss this, get yourselves down for a treat!!"

"Booked a table for 5 on a Sunday as reviews for the roasts were amazing and wow, it was simply the best meal we’ve had in years and that is no exaggeration. We’ve paid for some very expensive roasts recently in establishments which could learn so much from the Good Companions. Having driven past it for years, we decided to give it a try. Between us we had the beef, chicken and pork belly roast. Everything was cooked perfectly; tender meat, amazing crackling, fresh vegetables which were beautifully presented, and gluten free gravy and Yorkshire puddings were already part of the menu. The portion sizes were just like your Nan used to serve up and the Yorkshires were the size of crowns! The gluten free desserts were brilliant as ice-cream is usually the only option. Every member of staff was delightful and helpful. We cannot rate this highly enough and hope that after reading this review you will book a table with the confidence that you will have a wonderful experience and meal."

"First of all the order was around 1 hour late arriving. One of the dishes was missing so we rang them up and they said it was because they'd run out of paneer! So they just didn't bother giving us anything, or telling us, even though we'd been charged for it. When we checked the other paneer dish that had turned up it barely had any paneer in it. All of the dishes received were pretty inedible. Watery and bland. It ended up getting thrown in the bin which is unheard of. They offered to give us a discount off our next order when they should have been offering us money off that one. That was an expensive mistake."
