"I love this chippy and the foods usually spot on. Tasty, fresh, and was a great way to treat the family for a low cost. I would always recommend. However recently the prices have sky rocketted, which in the current climate is understandable. The problem I had with the raised prices was that the portion sizes had also been reduced by at least half. A large fish cost just over £7 and it was tiny. A portion of chips barely fed 2 people. Sadly it now Makes it a non cost effective place to buy from for the family, as a treat. So probably won't be going back soon,"

"My partner and I have been to the Dining room Indian restaurant in Birstall tonight for a sit down meal and took our own alcohol. Credit where credit is due.. a hidden gem .. excellent throughout from the service to the food. We had a 4 course meal for £14.95 each. We previously had a takeaway and really enjoyed that, so thought we would try it out. I’m adding a photo of our starter as we was amazed not only by how good it taste, but the presentation also. 10/10."

"Stopped in for a late lunch during a long journey North to Newcastle. What a lovely pub! Such a friendly welcome, great food with a good range of alternatives for vegetarians and those with special dietary requirements. Soup of the day was a spiced cauliflower and coconut and for me came with a Hot Hob baked baguette with cheese ham and onion chutney. Husband had his with fresh bread which was home made and lovely. Kids enjoyed their meals (macaroni cheese, ham eggs and chips) and the portions were generous. We sat in the bar area which was just right for us, servixe was fab and we were beautifully looked after a lovely lady helped us when one of the children had an issue. Thank you so much Forge Inn, we will be back on our next trip!"

"We were lucky enough to share our wedding day with the Grey Lady restaurant yesterday. It was exceptional and we can't thank you enough. "We have been here more than once now tried week day and weekend to see if its any different when pressured, they have so many orders made for delivery and collection, the restaurant is quiet, small and cosy, Nice place to spend an evening if you want to shut the busy run of the mill world away. The staff are so friendly and treat you with so much respect and kindness, you are looked after all evening from start to finish. The food is of good quantity and taste amazing, i have ventured more into new dishes since going and always have a try of the hubby's food too lol. Good value for money, Starters, mains sides and a drink all x 2 is never gonna be sniffed at for £35 when given great service and relaxed atmosphere all for free, here are a couple of pics of some of what we had, mmmmm."
