"We recently visited the St. Genis on a Sunday lunchtime with a French friend, who was firstly very impressed with our greeting by the owner who remembered us from previous visits. The food as always was excellent and the service very good.Our French friend chose the buffet for a starter and came back with a plate of grated carrot!! He said this was all he wanted and enjoyed it very much. I had the escargot which were delicious and my husband chose the tartare of courgettes that came with a beautiful Scotch egg. For main course the men opted for the hake with rice and vegetables, and I had a roast duck leg with slices of roast potato and vegetables.For dessert both my husband and I had the Apricot Tiramisu and our friend had the creme brûlée. A very enjoyable meal all round."
