"My boyfriend and I fell in love with this place! I seriously want to live here and make all my babies here! This is God's playground!!!! There is cabins for daily or weekly or monthly and there is rv parking too and you can just set up your tent there to. Best things about this place is you can rent boats,canoes and kayaks ect.. plus there is a huge grasses part in the middle of everything for kids to play on playground or corn hole or take your fur babies to play ...yes fur babies are allowed and welcome everywhere!! Plus there a huge fire spit for groups and personal fire pits for all cabins and camping area with picnic tables. But wait it gets better everyday they serve breakfast and dinner and the chef is amazing! The pictures that I took still can not give the amazing scenery justice. This place has the best hiking and biking trails and two beautiful lakes and rivers for fishing and hunting they can issue you a license and have a store on property for anything you might need for the ultimate getaway experience or maybe something simply cause you forgot like bait or shower stuff or camping stuff. And they are by a train that you can take for the day to see it all. I feel like I have discovered a hidden treasure in New Mexico I can not believe I have never heard of this place even though I been to Lake Heron and El Vado so many times. If you want to experience the great outdoors and are not sure where to go or what kind of activities you want the family or loved ones to do then go to Stone House Lodge and do it all! ...p.s. they have really good internet ?Rooms: They have cabins that have up to 10beds and small enough for just couples and all are handicap compatible and dog friendly or you can just pitch a tent or bring the rvNearby activities: Hiking,biking,lake activities and fishing and hunting,local train station to view all of the beautiful mountain sideWalkability: Walkability is very easy-going from the camp sites to the trailsFood drinks: They serve breakfast and dinnerNoteworthy details: You will fall in love and not want to go home!"
