"Very disappointing for a Parador. Good tapita and a good wine list and one good dish a delicious cream Catalana. But the Albondigas (meatballs) were too fatty and rich and not a vegetable in sight. The lomo de ternera was over cooked although we'd asked for rare. One of the green peppers served with this dish was a red hot green chilli pepper! The sorbet was liquid! We felt pretty miserable having looked forward to this meal."

"I came here with my Spanish wife and parents in law a couple of months ago. We were all a little worn out and it was a late lunch. We didn't reserve and came here because it was the closest eatery to our parked car....Los Tereros is a hotel and the dining room reflects that. It's quite spacious and geared towards large parties so if you are looking for somthing intimate this probably isn't for you. The menu is classic Castilian hearty soups and roast meat as well as the standard Spanish fish options. They also offer a decent menu del dia. My Spanish family all chose the menu del dia and it was of a fair standard. I had garlic soup to start and rabo de torro (ox tail) for my main. Simple enough dishes that I've had many times across Spain and so it's a kind of litmus test. If you can't do this right then you get a thumbs down from me. Fortunately both dishes past the test but without any great distinction. The wine list was good but not particularly well stocked. My first three choices were unavailable. I settled for a very good value Pago de Carraovejas Crianza Good stuff. Service was efficient but unfriendly. A large party had left a bit of mess and so the staff were in a grumpy and impatient mood. So, in conclusion, I would not bother coming here as a destination. The dining area is more dinner hall than restaurant. The food is decent especially at menu del dia prices but no better than that. A sort of school dinner attitude to food. Add to that an indifferent level of service and it doesn't sound too exciting. It isn't, I'd be inclined to try somewhere else."
