"We made the glowing wine hike to the castle to eat there in the castle pots. The ambience in front of the castle with a magnificent view and a fire bowl and also in the Schänke- simply beautiful. The castle team has spoiled us culinarically. We had a really nice Christmas party. A particularly thick praise to Jannis, he has read us every wish from the eyes."

"Not recommended! at the beginning everything started very well. but who comes 15 minutes too late will feel that right away. unfortunately a participant had failed, so a room was over. to limit the damage I took the room as a single occupancy. so it was also agreed, but it was calculated twice. That's amazing! there is no time to bring the cases to the rooms because the kitchen is exactly clocked. because we were practically the only guests (except a heart with child) surprising. the served eating was really good, it was just too expensive. for 26,80 eur, I find it pretty good for a farm. during eating, the room keys were thrown on the table. when I wanted to drag the box to the room, I was then moved to the guest house on the other side of the road in the main house. on the second evening we were unfortunately late again as a hiking group in the almost empty restaurant (about 40 minutes,) which the chefin reads very clearly and unfriendly. Too bad for the kitchen team, because eating was good, apart from the price. drink money a lot, we certainly don't come back! Conclusion: nice little place with badly guided gastronomy. you can leave!"

"Meeting at the Werra is a small town in Thuringia on the border to Hesse, and since 12/13. Jh. thronts Normannstein Castle on Treffurts Nordhang. Already in the Middle Ages, the castle was abandoned and faded – which was ultimately a lucky case, as it was not converted into the castle or the fortress like so many other castles, but remained in its Romanesque state. Normannstein is therefore particularly architectural and cultural. In late 19. A restaurant was opened in the castle, where the ruins became a popular destination. From 1975 he lived in the castle of the Treffurter Youth Club. Between 1995 and 2006 the castle was renovated, in 2008 the restaurant was reopened. The compact castle complex consists essentially of three towers and a large annex where the restaurant is located. There are also various remains of walls and defense trenches. The large square tower of the castle was a residential tower, the round tower and the smaller square tower were towers.
