"This restaurant is a must every time I visit Zweibruecken. I was only there for 3 mights this time but ate there twice! The food is truly excellent and worthy of a Michelin rating. Fresh local produce is used throughout the menu and the wine...list is a veritable tour through the local regions. The chef/owner and his wife make you feel very welcome and are happy to accomodate any special requests you may have. The menu changes with seasons and it is a delight to look at their website from time to time just to see the wonderful food which is on offer."

"On a Tuesday night I was in this place for the first time with a well-known. the ambiente looks very appealing and has a comfortable character. the recipe by the cook was very warm and also in the evening the staff was attentive, but never intrusive. we ordered the fish plate for 2 people who were split up by the operation on our two, otherwise visually very unusual, teller on the table. the food tasted very good and we will come back. only manko are the bad parking possibilities near the local, and therefore also 1 star to go. but it is worth it."

"We've visited Esslibris already for the fourth time and it is always a great experience! I always order the romantic 5 course menu without knowing what is on it. I don't need to know, because everything what comes out of this kitchen taste outstanding. Okay you need to be open and curious to try new things!The staff is extremely friendly, helpful and very attentively. This restaurant is one of my top favourite! I really recommend to book a table in advance!"

"Wir sind auf der Durchreise am Nachmittag in den Gastgarten und am Abend ins Restaurant geschneit. Obwohl das Haus sehr voll war, ist uns die angenehme Ruhe aufgefallen, da die beiden Gruppen in anderen Räumen untergebracht waren. Die Vorspeise wurde sehr schnell serviert, auf die Hauptspeisen mußten wir auf Grund des Wirbels einige Zeit warten. Die Gerichte selbst haben ausgezeichnet geschmeckt, der Service selbst war hervorragend, sehr persönlich und aufmerksam. Tolle Leistung!!!"

"Wir haben selten so unvorbereitetes, überfordertes und unfreundlichen Personal gesehen. Trotz schönem Wetter (auch für die nächsten Tage gemeldet) war dier Biergarten geschlossen. Viele Gäste bekammen ihr Essen nicht und wurden auch noch angeschnautzt.. Der Versuch einer Reservierung zu einer Zeit "Nach dem Trubel" schlug fehl.. Wir waren nur 6 Personen? "Was wiessen denn wir was in 2 Stunden los ist" war die Antwort.. Es waren 4 grosse Tische innen komplett leer, draussen auch einige.."
