"Very cute stop along our travels with a very unique menu and tasty options. Has a little bookstore and shop inside. The desserts looked so delicious but we were stuffed full from our meal! Highly recommend The Flying Apron!"

"Wing last week for Christmas at the shoal lake. had to go through russell so that we stopped for coffee (a black and one with cream) both coffees were from the meaning that they did not taste properly, with a funky taste watery. on the...Move back stayed and told the employees about our coffee tasting funny. they said that they sometimes told the dark roast funky, but we had ordered regular coffees. beautiful enough to compose new coffees, but we tasted them and they were stll funky tasting. she didn't drink."

"I have the opportunity to go back to the restaurant this year, and I have to say it was another experience by far! We arrived at the first dinner time at 6:00 on a Sunday night of a long weekend. I expected the place to be full and feared the long waiting period I remembered last year. Well, I don't know if it's because it's school time now, or just what, but the service was error-free fast. The waters were full. There were a few other groups, one of them pretty big. I ordered the Sunday Special, a fired pork talloin, so good! The sauce was delicious, and I asked for a white role (which I was not accused) to suck the remains. My mother got the chiselfish, which was slightly crumbled, fluffy and tender. The tartar sauce was delicious and seemed to be homemade (which I could be wrong). We ordered the berry crumb to dessert, and she shared it nicely in two separate dishes for us, again at no cost. Although our server grumpy appeared, I soon decided that it was actually only efficient, and maybe just has a fleeting abhorrence. So do not leave yourself from initial assumptions on the basis of appearance with her, since they are actually very nice in actions! Good luck with this place. The view is beautiful, the food is a big hit or a close miss, (I would say go with the special, not the Chowder) and the servers are more beautiful than you suspect first. I regret my previous review!"

"This little cafe is a hidden gem unknown to even many of the local people. The omelette is delicious at the very best price that I am aware of. The owner/cook/waitress is friendly & makes home style meals at extremely reasonable prices. Open most days from 7 am until 3 pm & until 6 pm on Fridays. Closed on Sundays - her one day off per week. She may somewhat slower than some restaurants/ cafes but you definitely know that the food is not mass produced. Good coffee too!! I am shocked that it is not full all the time."
