"I have eaten at the Benchmark many times and have always been delighted. Yesterday's experience makes me consider a serious rethink. I was lunching with seven old friends celebrating years as founders of a local institution. The waiter was excellent; the food was a...considerable disappointment. It took forever to arrive and when it did I thought to return it to the kitchen but we had been nearly two hours and I was hungry and ate what was offered though it was below acceptable. Now several at the table seemed happy but not all. To make matters worse I am a retired faculty member so was doubly embarrassed. I will return with hopes."

"Best Vietnamese food in the Niagara Region. Authentic and delicious Vietnamese food, great atmosphere and trendy decor (check out the bathroom sinks! . The staff were warm and friendly and Jenny the owner was most hospitable. Would definitely recommend and come back again."

"I'll visit this facility 2/3 times a month if I'm on Layover in St Catherines. Many locals, and to them, their Merritton!, not St Catherines! It's a sit down diner, stand Stooles, decor is Hollywood, tastefully sticky, you have Wi-Fi, and a Tv... the film plays, nonstop. I'm trying to sit where there's no TV or sound. Space is always clean. I've never seen it busy, always have a choice where to sit. Small restaurant, small parking, not largest location on the street.... I always park over the street in Plaza. Great menu, reasonable prices and always a generous part on the plate. Waitresses are competent and friendly, always check in. Only what I don't want to order is drunk fish always dark, burned. The staff is young, efficient, but always a kind of drama among them. I mature the meaningless chatter, unimportant for me, the customer, but apparently life and death for them. Small building, conversations travel..... For breakfast, lunch and early dinner, still be disappointed. If I'm ever in Merritton with my kids, I'm sure I'll bring them here."

"Was excited to order from this place as i have heard nothing but good things from everyone. we ordered through skip and everything was very timely however for $7 i think the bowl of soup should have more than half a cup. The beef quesadilla was good, desserts were so so good (churros and cheesecake) but the salsa tasted mainly like marinara sauce and was extremely watery.overall would need to dine in at restaurant to have again, not worth the $61 on skip"
