"We have eaten at Bärenwirt three times now and every time has been exceptional. You can choose between traditional Austrian specialities or the chef's own more modern creations. Everything is freshly prepared from scratch with mostly local ingredients and a huge amount of effort is...put into the food and many components (oxymel, distilled medlar juice etc. you would never find anywhere else. The service is friendly and knowledgable and all this for 34 euros for three courses! The owners have also recently renovated an old house on the opposite side of the square to the restaurant which has beautiful rooms to rent and a delicatessen and cookery school on the ground floor."

"This review summarizes 2 visits with 4 adult family members.The nicely decorated cafe is rather small and located in the centre of Hermagor, right at the bridge over the river Gössering, a tributary of the river Gail. The owners are very kind and passionate about delivering very good food and drinks in a cosy atmosphere with good music. We ate several Italian dishes and were positively surprised about the great tastes. Excellent value for money - highly recommended."

"Ci siamo fermati in questo locale colpiti dai bei tavoli all'esterno, per fare un aperitivo.In due più la nostra bimba piccola abbiamo però optato per andare a sederci dentro.Il dentro del locale è sicuramente uno o due passi indietro rispetto all'esterno.Qui all'interno infatti una "rinfrescata" non guasterebbe.Per il resto il servizio è stato veloce e cortese e l'aperitivo ci è stato servito con abbondanti patatine alla paprika che anche la bimba ha gradito.Nulla di stravolgente ma nella piazzetta è forse il locale con lo spazio esterno più gradevole.Grazie,JJ"
