"Es war Freitag 16:30, ein Freund hat ohne Vorwarnung Zeit für ein gemeinsames Abendessen. Und jetzt? Weihnachtszeit in Österreich, keine Chance einen Tisch in einem der üblichen Restaurants in Klagenfurt zu bekommen ... Frust ... nicht nur auf meiner Seite, auch meine Telefonanrufe werden meist nicht gerade freundlich entgegen genommen. Verstehe natürlich ... Weihnachtsstress überall, aber trotzdem ... man muss ja nicht gleich ausgelacht werden, oder?Und dann wage ich doch noch einen letzten Anruf: „7. Himmel“ mit einer sehr guten Bewertung auf „tripadvisor“, aber mir unbekannt - und der Name ... naja, zumindest mal was Anderes. Also ich wähle die Nummer und zu meiner Überraschung: eine freundliche Stimme am anderen Ende des Kabels, die zu mir sagt: "Schwierig", dann kurzes Schweigen und danach die Frage: "Wären Sie mit einem kleinen Tisch zufrieden, ich könnte da was machen" ...Ich überglücklich aber doch etwas gespannt komme um 19:00 in den 7. Himmel - im wahrsten Sinne des Wortes: trotz vollem Haus und Weihnachtsfeierstimmung (aber nicht DIE unangenehme!) werde ich sehr freundlich begrüßt, so als ob ich schon seit Jahren Stammkunde wäre, und es gibt ein nettes Tischchen perfekt für den Abend. Das Service - 2 Herren, die uns abwechselnd bedienen - wie schaffen die es trotz des Trubels so höflich, zuvorkommend und humorvoll zu sein? Guter Schmäh würde man in Wien sagen, aber nicht aufdringlich - selten so etwas erlebt, und schon gar nicht zu dieser Zeit des Jahres. Die Speisen, ein Genuss. wir wurden darauf hingewiesen, dass die Speisen im 3-gängigen Menü etwas kleiner sind als wenn man diese einzeln bestellt, daher auch der gute Preis (33.- Euro). Wir konstruierten uns jeder ein Menü - und beide von uns waren hingerissen, absolute Spitzenklasse. Und die Portionen, nein, die waren nicht klein, aber mehr wird nicht verraten: selber hingehen und genießen! Aber noch etwas, was ich schon sehr lange nicht mehr erlebt habe: obwohl soviel Betrieb war, wurden wir nach jedem Gang gefragt, ob wir eine Pause machen wollen, oder die nächste Speise bald serviert werden soll! Wir haben den Abend bis fast zur Sperrstunde genossen! Und noch was: das hausgemachte Habanero-Chili-Öl, zusammen mit dem Hühner-Curry ... ich muss jetzt aufhören zu schwärmen, habe heute leider keine Möglichkeit wieder dort zu sein.Nur noch eines: im Himmel, damit es sich lohnt dort landen zu wollen (also später dann mal), muss es einen ausgezeichneten Espresso geben ... im „7. Himmel“ gibt es diesen schon jetzt! Kein Grund warten zu müssen!"
